My friend and partner in Zircons, my comrade of many adventures Gustavo Rugeles, has just published its site, Kumo-Z, that I helped to develop.
So far, Kumo-z is a space to show some of Gustavo R. Rugeles G.´s formal works for clients and experimental projects. He is a visual artist proficient in drawing, with knowledge in painting, illustration, photography and motion graphics. He has been attracted to the elements of image construction, consequently, drawing had became his primary language and discipline that he uses to explore the possibilities to define an idea or concept. As a drawer he experience with different graphic techniques such as etching, mezzotint, xylography and experimental. Currently he resides in Beijing – China developing a project about interaction between drawing and painting called ¨Desintegrations¨ that combines fluid charcoal lines with strong acrylics gesture strokes on canvas which focuses in the study of the anatomy of characters. Co-founder of Zircons, an audiovisual arts collective. Currently they are working on a experimental sequential art project called ¨Perro Tureco¨.

The commercial for women’s shoes “Secret” is already finish, was a great experience, my first direction of a commercial, made for the production house “24 Cuadros” from Valencia, Venezuela.
It was a 2 months project where I did from the art direction till the animation and post-production.
I had a great partnership at all times of Alexis Ziritt who also performed the storyboard and the animations frame by frame of the commercial.
This is a experiment we did in Zircons some time already, but had not had time to publish, here we go, as a prelude to what lies ahead …

Recently I made an entertained work of art direction for Pronto Publicidad and the advertising agency Publicis, an amused video of internal trade marketing for Bolibomba, a local bubble gum mark, leaves from the transnational company Nestle in Venezuela, was a laborious work of animation 3D done by the Pronto boys, in addition of the support in production of Publicis, made everything in so single 4 days, days in which I practically lived in the offices of Publicis in Caracas. An interesting experience.
