”Now so long, Leonard.
It’s time that we began to laugh
And cry and cry and laugh about it all again”

Leonard Cohen has died, the sad news has barely caught me between the chaos left by the US elections.

Leonard Cohen was I think the first of the artists that I started to follow with devotion that did not go into what was the most traditional pop-rock music, I mean, for the teenager who I was when I discovered it.

I remember the first time I heard it, was in a movie, Natural Born Killer, a movie that was very relevant to me, I remember how the song “Waiting For The Miracle” caught me right away, just I could I buy the Soundtrack, (much of the music in was the one I followed at the time), for a long time that album was one of the most precious jewels; Then looking a lot I got the album “The Future” and that would be just the beginning, his simple and deep music has always been around in my life, it never pass too long without playing some of his albums.

Over the years I learned more about his extraordinary life, a very inspiring one, which made me appreciate much more his lyrics, his poems and the rich literary in them.

As I finished this post I’m hearing his last interview, the best possible farewell.

“Now so long, Leonard.
It’s time that we began to laugh
And cry and cry and laugh about it all again”
