Designing systems
for unexpected
outcomes

Pablo E. Peña P. is a Venezuelan visual and sound artist whose practice focuses on the development of real-time generative systems. His work integrates programming, physical simulation, 3D rendering, and sound design to create immersive audiovisual experiences in which image and sound evolve as parts of a shared dynamic system. Through his project P3P510, he explores the relationship between algorithmic behavior, perception, and temporality across performances, installations, and digital media.

  • Position Based Dynamics

    Position Based Dynamics

Reel of my experiments using Houdini’s new Vellum multi-Solver, showing a new skill set that I add to my work arsenal.

  • Volumes

    Volumes

Volumes refers to the use of Volumetrics (simulations of smoke, clouds and fire) to produce forces and geometric shapes that can generate an entire animation.

  • Houdini Advect by Volumes

    Houdini Advect by Volumes

Exercises of “Advect by Volumes” in Houdini, an easy way to uses velocity volumes to move particles, these are some of the results, render with Arnold Renderer.
